ENGLISH AND SKI/SNOWBOARD PROGRAM - 2007

       

Ski or ride your snowboard in Colorado at some of the world's best ski areas!  Learn English with professional teachers, and make new friends from other cultures.  Sounds like the best winter vacation in the world, right?  January and February programs are available.

PROGRAM DATES:
January Program: 
January 8 - February 9, 2007
February Program:  February 5 - March 9, 2007

CLASSES:  Students attend classes five hours a day Monday through Friday in grammar, reading, writing, listening/speaking, and an elective class.  Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch.

SKI TRIPS:  Each program includes five ski trips to ski resorts one to one and a half hours from Denver.  The ski areas include Keystone, Copper Mountain, Winter Park, and Vail.  Round trip transportation from Denver to the ski areas is provided.  The ski trips are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.

HOUSING:  Homestays with American families.  Families provide breakfast and dinner.  Students buy lunch at the college cafeteria.  Stay at a local hotel can also be arranged.

      
AIRPORT PICKUP:  Students are met at Denver International Airport (DIA) upon arrival and taken to their host family.
      
STAFF:  Classes are taught by trained professionals with degrees and experience in Teaching English as a Second Language.

*The Ski Program Fees include rental of ski/snowboard equipment, transportation to and from the ski area, and ski-lift expenses for five all-day ski trips.  It does not include ski clothing, ski gloves, and goggles.  Also, students are required to have health insurance while attending Spring International.  The health insurance fee of $75 will be deducted if students present proof of coverage at registration.

Departure for all ski trips is at 7:15 a.m. from Arapahoe Community College.  Departure from ski area is at 4:15 p.m. with return to Arapahoe Community College about 6:00 p.m.
